Ruizhe Li is a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) at the University of Aberdeen's Aberdeen - South China Normal University (SCNU) Joint Institute, with dual affiliations to the School of Natural and Computing Sciences and Business School. He actively collaborates with the Natural Language Processing (NLP) group, Machine Learning (ML) group, and Edinburgh clinical NLP group.

His research focuses on Interpretability of Large Language Models (LLMs) and Multimodal LLMs, exploring techniques for context attribution, positional bias analysis, and knowledge graph integration. Current projects examine retrieval-augmented generation, cross-modal interaction, and healthcare AI applications.
Recent publications (2025) demonstrate expertise in context attribution mechanisms, multimodal medical diagnostics, and multilingual instruction-following with LLMs. Work spans ACL, NLPCC, Nature Machine Intelligence, and clinical AI journals.
