Ruixiang Wang is an Assistant Professor of Finance at Clark University's School of Business. His research focuses on corporate innovation, executive compensation, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and consumption-based asset pricing. He holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of Missouri (2021), an M.B.A. from the University of San Diego (2016), and a B.S. from Shanghai Business School (2013).

His research explores how family trusts influence corporate control and innovation, the impact of founder-CEO dynamics on firm performance, and the role of consumption behavior in asset pricing. He has presented at leading conferences such as the American Finance Association and Northern Finance Association. His work has received awards, including a semifinalist placement for the Financial Management Association’s best paper (2021) and the Winemiller Excellence Award in Data Analytics (2020).
Prior to Clark University, he served as a visiting assistant professor at Northeastern University. His current research includes studies on SEC investigations of founder-CEO firms and decarbonizing institutional investor portfolios.
