Rui Albuquerque is a Professor in the Seidner Department of Finance at Boston College Carroll School of Management, with extensive experience at institutions including Boston University, the University of Rochester, and the Portuguese Catholic University. His research focuses on international finance, corporate governance, and sustainable finance, published in top journals like the Journal of Finance and Management Science.

His research interests span asset pricing, capital market imperfections, and corporate social responsibility. Recent work examines ESG investments, shareholder activism, and risk dynamics during the pandemic. He has received awards including the Smith Breeden Prize and ECGI Finance Prizes.
