Roy Kouwenberg is an Associate Professor and Chair of the PhD Program at Mahidol University in Bangkok, Thailand, while maintaining a visiting researcher position at Erasmus School of Economics. His research examines behavioral aspects of financial decision-making, particularly how psychological biases like loss aversion and ambiguity aversion influence investment behaviors and stock market participation.
Research Focus: Dr. Kouwenberg's work integrates prospect theory and rank-dependent utility models to understand investor behavior under uncertainty. His current projects investigate:
