Rosemary A. Kozar

Rosemary A. Kozar, MD, PhD, is a Professor of Surgery at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. She serves as Co-Director of the Shock Trauma Anesthesia Research (STAR) Center, Director of Translational Research at the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center, and Acting Director of the National Study Center (NSC). Her expertise lies in trauma surgery, critical care, and translational research focused on endothelial dysfunction following hemorrhagic shock.

Scientific Contributions: With over 250 peer-reviewed publications and 16 book chapters, Dr. Kozar has led numerous NIH-funded studies. Her recent work delves into microRNA regulation, extracellular vesicles, and biomarkers of endothelial dysfunction post-trauma.
