Dr. Rose M.E. Calixte is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at SUNY Downstate's School of Public Health. She holds a PhD in Statistics from Stony Brook University and PStat® accreditation from the American Statistical Association. Her expertise includes biostatistical analysis, study design consultation, and data management for high-impact research publications.
Her primary research focuses on child health outcomes, particularly healthcare utilization patterns and barriers to care for children and youth with special healthcare needs (CYSHCN). She aims to develop tools identifying CYSHCN at risk of unmet medical and social needs. Courses taught include Principles of Biostatistics, Categorical Data Analysis, Applied Regression, Survival Analysis, and advanced data mining methodologies.
