Rosanna Mitchell is an Instructor I in the Department of Biological Sciences at Florida Gulf coast University (FGCU), part of the College of Arts & Sciences. She holds an M.S. in Biology from the University of Central Florida (2010) and a B.S in Molecular Biology, Microbiology, and Biotechnology from Florida Atlantic University. Her professional journey includes seven years of research experience at the Hussman Institute for Human Genomics and Algenol Biotech before transitioning to teaching. She began teaching introductory Microbiology and Biology courses at Independence University in 2019, joined FGCU as an Adjunct Instructor in 2021, and transitioned to a full-time Instructor I role in August 2023.
