Dr. Rosanna Breaux is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at Virginia Tech and serves as Director of the Child Study Center and the CALMER Lab. Her research focuses on social, emotional, and academic functioning in children and adolescents, particularly those with ADHD, emphasizing parental roles in emotion regulation and evaluation of interventions like the RELAX program targeting emotion dysregulation. She holds a PhD from the University of Massachusetts Amherst (2017), an MS from UMass Amherst (2013), and a BS from Carnegie Mellon University (2011).
Recent courses taught include Psychological Disorders of Children (PSYC 3034), Advanced Topics in Clinical Psychology (PSYC 6254), and Clinical Practicum (PSYC 5965/6965). Her work addresses pandemic impacts on mental health, telehealth applications, and resilience in neurodevelopmental disorders. Key research areas are emotion regulation, ADHD treatment, and family dynamics.
