Rosanna Asselta

Rosanna Asselta is a Full Professor of Medical Genetics at Humanitas University and holds leadership roles as Vice Director of the Department of Biomedical Sciences and President of the Joint Commission. She graduated in Biological Sciences from the University of Milan and earned a PhD in Molecular Genetics Applied to Medical Sciences. Her expertise includes genetic data analysis, honed through post-doctoral research at institutions like the Broad Institute of Harvard and MIT and Helsinki University.

Her research focuses on genetic epidemiology, molecular genetics of diseases (e.g., Parkinson’s, cardiovascular disorders, and cancer), and genetic variants influencing disease risk.
