Rosana Moreira

Rosana Moreira is Professor and Director of Online Learning in the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering at Texas A&M University, with affiliations in Food Science and Technology. She holds BS (1980) from Campinas State University, and MS (1983) and PhD (1989) from Michigan State University, all in Agricultural Engineering.

Her research encompasses fundamental modeling, automatic control, and novel processing methods for food systems including dehydration, extrusion, vacuum frying, irradiation, and biomass pretreatment. Recent publications focus on nanotechnology applications for antimicrobial packaging and predictive modeling for food safety.
