Rosalía Poyato Galán

Dr. Rosalía Poyato Galán serves as a Tenured Researcher at the Materials Science Institute of Seville (ICMS), a joint research center operated by the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and the University of Seville. She holds a B.Sc. in Physics from the University of Seville and earned her PhD in Applied Physics from the Autónoma University of Madrid, followed by postdoctoral research at the University of Connecticut and Ohio State University as a Fulbright fellow.

Her research specializes in the processing and characterization of advanced ceramic composites incorporating carbon nanostructures, with particular emphasis on carbon nanotubes and graphene integration. Current work focuses on microstructural, mechanical, and electrical property analysis of ceramic-graphene composites through a Spanish National Science Foundation and European Feder-funded project she co-leads. Her scholarly contributions span over 50 international journal publications in materials engineering and nanotechnology.
