Rosalind Evans

Rosalind Evans is a Clinical Assistant Professor and MSW Director at the University of North Texas, Department of Social Work. She holds a BSW and MSW from the University of Oklahoma, and a Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Arlington. Her research focuses on LGBTQIA2S+ identities, mindfulness practices for social work students, and intersectionality in coming-out experiences. Dr. Evans teaches BSW/MSW courses on research methods, policy, child welfare, LGBTQ+ topics, and macro social work.

Her publications examine mindfulness-based stress reduction, IPV in LGBTQ+ communities, and campus climate for queer students. She emphasizes strength-based approaches in education and intervention. Dr. Evans has expertise in course development and program evaluation, with a background in youth mentoring and socio-emotional support in schools. Her work bridges clinical practice and systemic advocacy in social work.
