Rosa Kim, MD is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin. She specializes in child and adolescent psychiatry, providing clinical services at Children’s Wisconsin through the Psychiatry Consultation-Liaison Service and the Second Opinion Clinic. Dr. Kim completed her undergraduate degree in Chemistry at Yale University, earned her medical degree from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine, and trained in psychiatry residency and child/adolescent psychiatry fellowship at New York Medical College/St. Vincent’s Catholic Medical Center, serving as Chief Resident. Prior to joining MCW in 2013, she worked at Weill Cornell Medical College and New York-Presbyterian Hospital as an Inpatient Attending and Unit Chief.
Her research interests focus on pediatric mental health, psychopharmacology, and clinical case studies in child psychiatry. Notable work includes a 2015 publication on guanfacine-induced psychosis. Dr. Kim is board-certified in general and child/adolescent psychiatry and holds memberships in the American Psychiatric Association and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
