Ronny Munoz-Acuna, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at Yale School of Medicine. His clinical and research interests focus on echocardiography, mechanical circulatory support devices, and perioperative critical care. He holds certifications in Anesthesiology, Critical Care Medicine, and Adult Cardiac Anesthesiology from the American Board of Anesthesiology.
Education: MD and BSc from Universidad de Costa Rica (2009), followed by residency and fellowship training at Harvard Medical School affiliates including Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Massachusetts General Hospital.
Research emphasizes point-of-care ultrasound applications, ECMO management, and social media's role in medical education.
