Her research focuses on women and politics, particularly conservative women’s roles in American political institutions and public policy. Her landmark book, *Righting Feminism: Conservative Women and American Politics* (Oxford University Press, 2008), explores how conservative women redefine women’s advocacy within right-wing movements.
Her work has been featured on NPR, CNN, Pacifica Radio, and C-SPAN, including a 2013 discussion on conservative women’s political roles. Though no formal advisees are listed, her publications emphasize scholarly contributions to gender politics, ideological diversity, and policy analysis.
Media engagements highlight her expertise in framing conservative women’s activism, media portrayals of leadership (e.g., Sarah Palin), and the evolution of feminist discourse. She remains active in academic and public policy discussions, bridging scholarship with contemporary political dynamics.
