His work includes In-situ Sensing and Process Modeling and Control, utilizing advanced Instrumentation techniques.

Wang collaborates with institutions like Oregon State University and NIST at Argonne National Laboratory for cutting-edge in-situ synchrotron diffraction experiments in metal additive manufacturing. His AMICS Lab recently participated in the NAMRC/MSEC conference in Knoxville, TN, reaching the finals of the Manufacturing Design Competition.
