Ronald S. Braithwaite, MD, is a Professor at NYU Grossman School of Medicine with appointments in the Department of Population Health and Department of Medicine. He serves as Director of the Division of Comparative Effectiveness & Decision Science, focusing on HIV prevention, alcohol use disorders, and cost-effectiveness analysis in public health.
Education:

Research Interests span epidemiology, health equity, and medical decision-making. His work addresses HIV risk behaviors, preventive care optimization, and health disparities in low socioeconomic status populations. Recent publications examine alcohol use in HIV-positive individuals, community-based PrEP distribution models, and ethical considerations in cost-effectiveness analysis.
Clinical Trials include projects aiming to reduce mortality in low SES populations through preventive care interventions. He has authored over 200 publications, with recent studies focusing on pancreatic cancer management, QALY-based policy modeling, and multi-level determinants of HIV risk.
