Dr. Ronald Finkbine is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at IU Southeast with over 25 years of teaching experience. He teaches graduate and undergraduate courses including operating systems, data structures, databases, networks, software quality, simulations, computer architecture, artificial intelligence, and history of science.
His research focuses on:
- Proof-carrying code
- Software test-suite strength measurement
- Software correctness verification
- Re-factoring techniques for legacy systems
- Advanced software testing methodologies
He developed specialized compilers and an integrated compiler/expert system/database for legacy software maintenance. His industry background includes hard-real-time programming and MIS development for the US Air Force. He holds a Ph.D. from New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology.
