Ron Elon Meisler

Ron Elon Meisler serves as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Michigan Law School while maintaining an active practice as a partner at Skadden in Chicago. His expertise spans complex cross-border restructurings for distressed entities, creditors, and investors across the US, Europe, Asia, and South America.

Meisler holds three degrees from the University of Michigan: BA, MBA, and JD. His educational foundation supports his dual career in academia and high-stakes bankruptcy practice.

His research and professional focus centers on bankruptcy law intersections with pension systems, particularly UK pension law and US bankruptcy law dynamics. He specializes in US-defined benefit pension plan resolutions involving the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation and advises corporate leadership during financial crises.
