Her research focuses on Geopoetics and Geocriticism, Theories of the Imaginary, Theories of Reading, Intercultural Hermeneutics, Contemporary Romanian Literature, and Literatures of Minorities in Romania with special emphasis on Romanian-German literature. Her work explores the intersection of cultural geography, literary theory, and national identity construction, particularly examining how borders, memory, and picturesque representations shape cultural narratives.
Her recent publications demonstrate a consistent engagement with Balkan Romance studies, multiethnic literary representations, and the theoretical frameworks that help interpret these complex cultural phenomena. The articles show a progression from examining specific regional identities to considering broader planetary literary contexts.
