Roman Liepelt is a Senior Lecturer at the German Sport University Cologne, Department of Performance Psychology. He holds a Ph.D. (Dr. rer. nat.) from Humboldt University Berlin (2006) and a Habilitation (Priv.-Doz.) from Westfälische Wilhelms-University Münster (2014). His career includes postdoctoral research at the Max Planck Institute for Human Cognitive and Brain Sciences (Leipzig), University College London, and leading the 'Perception and Action Control' Research Group at Münster (2010–2016).

Research Focus: Cognitive mechanisms of action control in social contexts and multitasking environments, including joint action, embodied cognition, and neural underpinnings of social perception. His work explores how shared goals and embodied processes influence task coordination and cognitive control.
