Roman Gundacker is a Senior Research Associate at the Austrian Academy of Sciences and Lecturer in Egyptology at the University of Vienna. He holds a doctorate 'sub auspiciis praesidentis rei publicae' (2009/2010) and has been active in academia since 2005.

Recent publications highlight trends in Old Kingdom royal names, Pyramid Texts analysis, and linguistic evolution from the Dreisilbengesetz to Zweisilbengesetz. His work spans historical linguistics, onomastics, and funerary literature.
