Romain Tartese is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Earth and Environmental Sciences at The University of Manchester. His research focuses on developing in situ isotopic analytical techniques to address questions about the volatile history of planetary bodies, particularly the origins and distribution of water in the Solar System. He specializes in terrestrial and extraterrestrial petrology and geochemistry, utilizing microbeam techniques such as NanoSIMS and LA-ICP-MS to study planetary materials.
