معرفی
Prof. Dr. Rolf Ulrich is a C4 Professor of General Psychology and Methodology at the University of Tübingen since 1999, affiliated with the Mathematisch-Naturwissenschaftliche Fakultät and Department of Psychology. His research spans Temporal Cognition, Psychophysics, and Sensorimotor Processing, with a focus on cognitive mechanisms and mathematical models.
Research Interests:Ulrich’s work explores how humans process time across sensory modalities, sensorimotor integration, and the role of mathematical models in psychological research. Key themes include:
- Temporal perception and cross-modal integration
- Conflict task dynamics and diffusion modeling
- Response time analysis and psychophysical methods
- Cognitive architecture and dual-task processing
- Statistical procedures in experimental design
Recent Publications:His 2024–2025 articles investigate sequential processing in conflict tasks, cross-modal interference effects, and methodological refinements in cognitive modeling. These studies often employ diffusion models, delta plots, and meta-analytic approaches to understand temporal cognition and cognitive control.
Scientific Recognition:
- Honorary Fellow, American Association of Psychological Science (2011)
- Member, German Academy of Natural Scientists, Leopoldina (2006)
- Science Prize, Wilhelm Wundt Society (2004)
- Member, Wilhelm Wundt Society (2005)
Academic Leadership:Ulrich has held professorial roles at multiple institutions, including the University of Konstanz and University of Wuppertal, before assuming his current position. He has contributed to academic policy through the DFG Psychology Council and position papers on psychological methodology.
