Roland Schmehl is an Associate Professor at the Department of Aerospace Engineering, Delft University of Technology (TU Delft). He is a founding member of Airborne Wind Europe (since 2019) and serves on the advisory board of Kitepower (since 2016). His work focuses on airborne wind energy (AWE) systems, including their application in Martian habitats, noise analysis, and aero-structural modeling.
