Rohini Jalan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Strategy & Organization at McGill University’s Desautels Faculty of Management. She holds a PhD from Cornell University (2018) and completed a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at the University of Oxford (2019–2023). Her research focuses on technology strategy, innovation management, and ethnographic methods, exploring topics such as organizational body work, workplace automation ethics, and entrepreneurial failure.
Her work bridges sociocultural perspectives with organizational studies, emphasizing qualitative approaches. Courses taught include Social Entrepreneurship & Innovation (Undergraduate) and Advanced Topics in Management (MBA). She is affiliated with the Marcel Desautels Institute for Integrated Management and contributes to research groups like the Entrepreneurship & Innovation Initiative.
Jalan’s publications span 2012–2023, addressing themes like embodied organizational practices, technological futures, and maker culture.
