Roger Wong

Roger Wong is a Clinical Professor and Vice Dean of Education at the University of British Columbia (UBC) Faculty of Medicine. He oversees the distribution of educational programs across the province, ensures accreditation standards are met, and integrates programs across health disciplines and learning continua. His leadership spans strategic planning, medical education, and clinical research.

Dr. Wong was appointed to the Order of Canada, Canada’s highest civilian honor, for advancing geriatric medicine and culturally sensitive healthcare policies. His work focuses on quality improvement in acute care geriatrics, impacting patient care nationally and internationally. He has lectured and published extensively on geriatric medicine and medical education, pioneering innovative models like ACE Units to enhance elder care.
