Roger Pauly

Roger Pauly is a Professor at the University of Central Arkansas, currently teaching World history, nineteenth century Europe, and imperialism courses. Best known for his book Firearms: The Lifestory of a Technology (John Hopkins University Press, 2008), which formed the basis of PBS's Warrior Weapons (2010), he served as advisor and commentator for the program. He is developing an innovative graphic book with Farrar, Strauss, and Giroux to explore historical debates through a pre-med student's perspective, aiming to broaden his scholarly identity beyond firearms history.
