Roger Burritt

Professor Dr. Roger Burritt is a Visiting Professor at the Centre for Sustainability Management (CSM) at Leuphana University of Lüneburg. He holds additional visiting positions at the University of Kassel (Germany) and the University of Zaragoza (Spain), and serves as a Research Associate at the United Arab Emirates University Corporate Governance Centre.

His research focuses on environmental and sustainability management accounting, with empirical studies in the wine industry and conceptual advancements in water management accounting. His work bridges accounting, governance, and sustainability frameworks.

He has been recognized for his contributions through invitations to prestigious expert groups, including the United Nations Division for Sustainable Development Environmental Management Accounting international experts group.

Professor Burritt co-founded EMAN Asia Pacific (EMAN–AP) and previously directed the Centre for Accounting, Governance and Sustainability (until 2014) and the Asia Pacific Centre for Environmental Accountability (1995-2012). He maintains strong ties with the accountancy profession and industry stakeholders.
