Roel van Veldhuizen is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Economics, Lund University. His research focuses on behavioral economics, particularly the psychological drivers of economic decisions in public, labor, and environmental contexts. He employs laboratory experiments to study topics like corruption drivers, gender differences in competitiveness, and resistance to environmental policies. Teaching includes microeconomics and behavioral economics courses for bachelor and master's programs. Active in research, he leads projects on moral decisions, AI in education, and causal mechanisms in gender disparities. Supervises theses in behavioral economics and applied microeconomics.
