Rodrigo Zepeda

Rodrigo Zepeda, M.D., is a Clinical Professor and epilepsy specialist at UT Southwestern Medical Center's Department of Neurology. He serves as Program Director of the Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship Program, overseeing trainee education in epilepsy diagnostics and treatment. His research focuses on refractory epilepsy management, ICU EEG interpretation, and global health initiatives, particularly in low-resource settings like Bhutan and Mexico.

• Education: MD from Tecnológico de Monterrey School of Medicine (with honors), followed by residency and fellowship training at Harvard Medical School affiliates (Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Massachusetts General Hospital).
• Global Health Work: Co-founded the Bhutan Epilepsy Project, deploying portable EEG technology to improve diagnosis in remote Himalayan regions.
