Rodrick Shao is an Associate Professor and Instructional Technologist at Texas Lutheran University (TLU), serving as Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL). His academic work spans instructional technology, international business, and civic engagement initiatives.

Shao’s research focuses on integrating instructional technology with practical applications in marketing and global education. He led the Country Research Study and Development of A Marketing Plan project with student Drilona Aliu, presented at the Summer Scholars Symposium (2011).
In community involvement, he supports the Watoto Project in Tanzania through partnerships with TLU students, Faith Lutheran Church, and Spirit of Joy Lutheran Church, addressing orphan care and AIDS-related challenges.
