Roch Mercier is a current Part-Time Lecturer in the Department of Physics & Astronomy at the University of Pittsburgh, affiliated with the Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences. He earned his PhD with a dissertation titled The Shell Model with Reaction Matrices and Pairing Correlations, advised by Baranger during his early years. His research focuses on theoretical nuclear physics, particularly the shell model and quantum many-body systems.
