Rocco Furferi is an Associate Professor at the Department of Industrial Engineering, University of Florence, specializing in Machine Vision, Computational Graphics, and Additive Manufacturing. His academic journey includes a PhD in Machine Design and Construction (2005) and national qualifications for Associate (2014) and Full Professor roles (2017). He has held roles as a Researcher, Senior Researcher, and since 2018, Associate Professor. His research focuses on integrating AI, 3D modeling, and medical technologies for applications in heritage science, healthcare, and manufacturing.
Education: PhD in Mechanical Engineering (2005), Laurea in Mechanical Engineering (2001), and professional engineering qualification.
