Robyn Driskell is a Professor of Sociology and currently serves as Vice President and Chief Compliance and Risk Officer at Baylor University. She previously held roles such as Divisional Dean for Humanities and Social Sciences in the College of Arts and Sciences, overseeing faculty affairs and academic assessments. Dr. Driskell earned her B.A. (1991), M.A. (1993) from Baylor University, and Ph.D. (1997) in Sociology from Texas A&M University.
Her research focuses on community dynamics, demography, and Latino studies. Notable works include Community in Urban Society (2012), Women’s Encounters with Globalization (2011), and co-edited volumes on applied sociology. Her articles address topics like social capital, religious beliefs, and civic engagement.
Dr. Driskell has received accolades including the Outstanding Professor Teaching Award (2002) and leadership roles in professional organizations like the Southwestern Sociological Association. Her administrative contributions include faculty evaluations, program development, and accreditation oversight.
