Robin Wordsworth is the Gordon McKay Professor of Environmental Science and Engineering and Professor of Earth and Planetary Sciences at Harvard University’s Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS). His research focuses on planetary climate evolution, habitability, and exoplanet atmospheres. He holds a DPhil from the University of Oxford and completed postdoctoral work at the Laboratoire de Meteorologie Dynamique (Paris) and the University of Chicago.
His work bridges Earth and planetary sciences, investigating topics such as early Mars climate dynamics, Snowball Earth events, and the potential for life on exoplanets. He has served on the Planetary Science Decadal Survey and the NAS Committee on Astrobiology and Planetary Science. Notable awards include the NSF CAREER Grant (2018).
