Robin Rubin

Robin Rubin, MSW, is an Instructor at the Sandler School of Social Work, Florida Atlantic University (FAU). She earned both her MSW and BSW from FAU. Her teaching focuses on Social Work and Positive Well Being, emphasizing tools for emotional resilience and nurturing relationships. She actively volunteers and holds leadership roles in local philanthropy, including the Boca Raton Regional Hospital Foundation Board, Hillel of Broward and Palm Beach County, and Rales Jewish Family Services. She founded the Community Advisory Board for the Sandler School of Social Work (2011) and drives the annual Phyllis Sandler Heart of Social Work Event to fund student scholarships.

Her research interests include mental health advocacy, community development, and integrating positive psychology into social work education. She is deeply involved in initiatives like the Reflections of Hope Luncheon to combat mental health stigma. Beyond academia, she serves on advisory councils for the Christine E. Lynn Women’s Health & Wellness Institute and chairs the Go-Pink challenge committee at Boca Raton Regional Hospital.

Robin resides in Boca Raton with her husband, Gary, and their two mini labradoodles, alongside her three adult children and two grandchildren.
