Robin Parks

Dr. Robin Parks is an Associate Professor at the Department of Biochemistry, Microbiology and Immunology, cross-appointed at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Ottawa, and a Senior Scientist at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute. Her work bridges Gene Therapy, Molecular and Cellular Biology, and Viral Therapy.

Research Interests focus on adenoviral vectors for gene therapy, exosome-based biomarkers, and oncolytic virus development for motor neuron diseases (SMA, ALS) and cancer. She also explores basic adenovirus biology and drug discovery for viral diseases.

Publication Trends highlight applications of exosomes and adenoviral vectors in gene delivery, oncolytic therapy, and neurodegenerative disease research. Her work spans biotechnology, pharmacology, and translational research.

Labs & Collaborations: Leads research at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute with a team including Research Administrative Assistant Terri van Gulik. Collaborates on neuromuscular diseases and cancer therapies.
