Robin Mendelsohn

Dr. Robin Mendelsohn is a board-certified gastroenterologist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center specializing in gastrointestinal issues in cancer patients. She serves as Co-Director of the Center for Young Onset Colorectal and Gastrointestinal Cancers, focusing particularly on patients with hereditary conditions like Lynch syndrome and those with early-onset colorectal cancers.

Her clinical expertise spans a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions including colon cancer, colon polyps, Lynch syndrome, Barrett's esophagus, bile duct stones, swallowing problems, esophageal dysplasia, and various gastrointestinal cancers. She performs numerous endoscopic procedures including colonoscopy, upper endoscopy, ERCP, and advanced techniques such as complex polypectomies and feeding tube placements.

Her clinical work emphasizes improving quality of life through endoscopic interventions that address eating difficulties and other cancer-related gastrointestinal complications.

She has received the Florence Lefcourt Award for Endoscopic Research and Public Education Outreach from the New York Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (2015).

Dr. Mendelsohn sees patients at the Rockefeller Outpatient Pavilion in New York City, where she provides comprehensive gastrointestinal care to cancer patients from screening through end-of-life care.
