معرفی
Robin Lammi is a Professor of Chemistry and Department Chair at Winthrop University's College of Arts and Sciences. His research focuses on using visible spectroscopic tools to study molecular properties, particularly investigating the early steps of amyloid-β protein association linked to Alzheimer's disease. He has secured research funding from the National Science Foundation and National Institutes of Health, and actively mentors undergraduate students in his research projects.
Education: Postdoctoral Fellowship in Single-Molecule Spectroscopy (University of Texas-Austin), PhD in Inorganic Chemistry (Washington University), and BA in Chemistry (Luther College). He teaches general and inorganic chemistry courses.
Research Interests include
- Physical Inorganic Chemistry
- Biophysical/Bioinorganic Chemistry
- Fluorescence Spectroscopy
- Nanoscience
Funding: Active grants from NSF and NIH support his work on biomolecular interactions and neurodegenerative disease mechanisms.
Advising/Grants: Leads undergraduate research teams in spectroscopy applications to biomedical problems. Collaborates with institutions on nanotechnology and chemical biology projects.
