Robin L. Nagano

Robin L. Nagano serves as a Master Lecturer at the Department of English Language and Literature within the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Miskolc. She maintains an office in building A/6, room 19, and holds regular office hours on Tuesdays from 11-12 and Fridays from 9-10 a.m.

Her academic background includes a Bachelor of Liberal Arts from Earlham College (USA), an MA in Applied Linguistics from Macquarie University (Australia), and an MA in Advanced Japanese Studies from Sheffield University (UK). Her primary research and teaching interests focus on academic writing, English for Research publication purposes, Teaching English for specific purposes, and various aspects of applied linguistics including discourse analysis, pragmatics, phonetics, and phonology.

Dr. Nagano also teaches at the Department of Applied Linguistics and Translation Studies, demonstrating her interdisciplinary expertise. Her thesis supervision topics include discourse features in written texts, English for Specific Purposes, comparative genre analysis, cross-linguistic genre comparison, and phonetics/phonology topics.
