Robin Gurwitch

Robin Gurwitch is a Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Duke University School of Medicine and the Center for Child and Family Health. She specializes in child trauma and disaster response, with expertise spanning terrorism, natural disasters, and military deployment stressors.

Her research examines trauma recovery pathways and resilience-building interventions. She developed clinical adaptations of Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) for trauma-affected families and Child Adult Relationship Enhancement (CARE) strategies.
