Robin Fuchs-Young is a Professor in the Department of Cell Biology and Genetics at Texas A&M University's School of Medicine. Her research focuses on breast carcinogenesis mechanisms, particularly the interplay between estrogen receptors, IGF-1, and p53 signaling. She leads a lab utilizing transgenic mice to study mammary cancer development, emphasizing disparities in cancer outcomes. Fuchs-Young also directs an extensive outreach program addressing environmental health, STEM education for underrepresented groups, and health equity. Her work includes evaluating metabolic syndrome impacts on cancer risk and developing humanized mouse models to study racially disparate p53 polymorphisms.
