Robin Bayes, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Rowan University's College of Humanities & Social Sciences, Department of Political Science & Economics. Her research focuses on political behavior, political psychology, and how ordinary Americans process scientific information to form opinions on science-related policies. She is affiliated with Rowan's Catalysts for Sustainability program and serves as a research consultant for The Climate Advocacy Lab.
Dr. Bayes holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from Northwestern University. Her work has been published in journals such as Political Psychology, Environmental Communication, and Current Opinion in Behavioral Sciences. Her research explores themes like moral conviction's role in public attitudes toward science, climate change communication strategies, and the intersection of science and political polarization.
Her publications emphasize understanding how motivations and moral frameworks shape public engagement with scientific issues, particularly in environmental and technological domains. She investigates mechanisms behind science misinformation, advocacy strategies in climate policy, and improving science communication in polarized societies.
