Robin Andre Rørstadbotnen

Robin Andre Rørstadbotnen is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Electronic Systems at NTNU specializing in distributed acoustic sensing (DAS) applications. His research develops fiber-optic sensing techniques for geophysical and environmental monitoring.

Rørstadbotnen investigates DAS applications including earthquake detection, marine mammal tracking, landslide monitoring, and urban vibration analysis. Field studies encompass Arctic marine environments, Norwegian quick clay sites, and urban infrastructure. His work contributes to geohazard early warning systems and underwater acoustic sensing technologies.

He collaborates on interdisciplinary projects combining geophysics, acoustics, and signal processing to advance fiber-optic sensing capabilities.
