Overview
Roberto Solis-Oba is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Western Ontario. He holds a Ph.D. from Purdue University (supervised by Prof. Greg Frederickson) and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Max Planck Institute for Informatics under Prof. Kurt Mehlhorn. His research focuses on algorithm design, particularly approximation algorithms for NP-hard optimization problems, with applications in networks, scheduling, packing, and computational biology.
