Roberto L. Abreu is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Florida, part of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. He holds a tenured position and leads the ¡Chévere! Lab, focusing on marginalized communities including LGBTQ+ individuals, BIPOC groups, and Latinx families. His work emphasizes social justice, systemic oppression, and resilience through mixed-methods research.
Education: Ph.D. from University of Kentucky (2015), APA-accredited internship at Federal Medical Center-Lexington, M.Ed. from Florida International University (2012). Mentored by scholars specializing in culture, collectivism, and queer advocacy.
