Prof. Roberto Flören is a Professor of Family Business and Business Transfer at Nyenrode Business University, holding the RSM Chair in these fields. He leads the Faculty Research Center for Entrepreneurship, Governance & Stewardship and serves as Academic Director of the Private Wealth Program. Fluent in Dutch and English, his research focuses on the interplay between company, family, and property dynamics in family businesses.

Research interests include succession challenges, innovation in family enterprises, and ownership social capital. He has advised on over 50 business transfers and contributed to national policy reports for the Ministry of Economic Affairs.
Publications span international journals like International Small Business Journal and Family Business Review. His 2024 study on succession dynamics in Dutch family firms was published in a leading business journal. He actively collaborates with the Erasmus Centre for Family Business and Netherlands Family Business Association.
