Roberto Braglia is a Principal Lecturer and Course Leader for the BA(Hons) Architecture program at the University of Portsmouth's School of Architecture, Art and Design. He serves as Academic Lead for Global Engagement, driving international initiatives and teaching design studios at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. His roles include coordinating modules and leading research projects within the School.
He holds a Master's Degree in Building Engineering and Architecture from the University of Pavia (Italy, 2008) and has professional experience in architectural practices across Europe, including urban renovation projects with the Parma City Council (2009-2011). Certified as an Architect (ARB, UK) and Building Engineer (Italy), he collaborates with the RIBA-affiliated Project Office under the School of Architecture.
Research focuses on pedagogical innovation, particularly teamwork strategies in first-year curricula and design education methodologies. Notable contributions include a 2018 presentation on pedagogic tools at the PSoA International Symposium and a recent article in the 'AND' International magazine.
