معرفی
Robert Warren is a Lecturer in Aeronautical and Mechanical Engineering at the University of South Wales, affiliated with the Faculty of Computing, Engineering and Science. He also serves as a Foundation Year Course Tutor for Aeronautical, Aerospace, and Mechanical Engineering courses. His teaching responsibilities include modules such as Propulsion, Advanced Propulsion, Fatigue and Fracture, and Fundamentals of Mechanical Engineering.
With over 10 years of industry-facing academic research experience, his research focuses on materials science, metallography, additive manufacturing, and process-microstructure-property relationships. Notable research projects include investigations into titanium alloys fabricated via electron beam melting, aluminum alloy cold-spray processes, and fatigue behavior of advanced materials.
Warren holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education (PgCLTHE) and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). His contributions include collaborative projects on noise level measurement in industrial equipment, composite tooling manufacturing, and cardboard packaging durability studies.
He is a member of the Engineering Research and Innovation Group and has published extensively on microstructural analysis and fatigue mechanisms in additive-manufactured materials. His work integrates computational modeling with experimental trials to address challenges in material science and engineering applications.
